Five Easy Steps to Financial Aid

Virtual Advisor

Step
1

Apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Dream Act Application by the priority deadline of March 2, 2023 for the 2023-2024 application and May 2, 2024 for the 2024-2025 application.

Fullerton College School Code is 001201.

Select IRS Data Retrieval Tool in order to expedite the processing of your financial aid file.

Step
2

Carefully review your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS).

Your FSS will provide basic estimates about your eligibility for student aid, but it is not a financial aid offer. Students may access their FSS on their StudentAid.gov dashboard.

Step
3

Complete any additional requirements for the 2024-2025 school year by the priority deadline of June 30, 2024.

Login to myGateway > select Student Tools > select Financial Aid > select My Overall Status > select the correct academic year. All  required documents necessary for financial aid will be available here.

Step
4

Our school delivers your refund with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc.

Log into myGateway > select Student Tools > click on BankMobile Disbursements icon.

Visit BankMobile Disbursements for more information or view our third-party contract for refund management.

Fullerton College disbursement dates can be found on the Financial Aid Website (How Financial Aid Gets To You 23/24).

Step
5

Be prepared to pay upfront for textbooks, supplies, and other fees. Disbursement dates are listed on How Financial Aid Gets To You 23/24.

Helpful Hint: Financial aid, excluding the California College Promise Grant (CCPG), does not become available
until after school begins.
