FAFSA: Students can submit their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning January 1^st.

California deadline for state aid (Cal Grant) is

MARCH 2^nd, for initial awards, and SEPTEMBER 2^nd for students who attended college in the fall. Keep in mind that there is a limited amount of awards for those who apply by the final deadline (September 2^nd).

If the student misses the Cal Grant deadline dates (March 2^nd and September 2^nd), they can still apply for Financial Aid. Eligibility will exclude the Cal Grant program, but will be checked for all other programs!

GPA Verification Form: Students must submit a GPA Verification Form to the California Student Aid Commission by MARCH 2^nd. Fullerton College will automatically submit the student's GPA verification electronically, if they have accumulated at least 16 academic units at Fullerton College . It is the student's responsibility to confirm whether their GPA will automatically be submitted electronically or whether they must submit their GPA using the paper GPA Verification Form.

NOTE: If the student is selected for verification by the Federal Government regarding their FAFSA application, additional documentation will be required and additional deadlines may apply regarding the receipt of their financial aid. Check with the Financial Aid/Veteran Services Office.

Keep in mind that deadlines for Fullerton College admission and those for financial aid are different and separate paperwork is required.

TIP: If you do not meet the Cal Grant deadline, you should still submit your FAFSA to be considered for federal Financial Aid and other Financial Aid programs.
