Academic Counseling now available at the Financial Aid/Veteran Services Office! The Financial Aid/Veteran Services Office is continuously working toward providing quality services to all students and as a result, we have expanded the counseling hours.
The Academic Counseling services include the following specific areas: -Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) -90 Unit / Probationary Status -Disqualified Status -Veteran Certification Counseling -Student Educational Program Plan (SEPP Form)
In order to ensure that Veteran students register for the appropriate classes and are certified in a timely manner for Summer and Fall, students are required to make an appointment to meet with one of the counselors by the first week of May. The counselor will complete a Student Educational Program Plan (SEPP), which will allow the Financial Aid Office to monitor the student's program, with regard to the student's major. Further, the SEPP is required by the Veteran's Administration, and must be included in the student's file to ensure that the appropriate classes are being taken toward the student's academic program and/or graduation.
Veteran students are required to contact the Financial Aid Office at (714) 992-7050, to schedule a counseling appointment. Failure to meet with a counselor could result in taking unnecessary classes, thereby not receiving full certification.
For additional information, please contact Ray Bustos at (714) 992-7055, or Maria Aguirre at (714) 992-7000 ext.25277.
