In order to receive Financial Aid, students are required to have obtained either a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).  However, if a student does NOT have either a high school diploma or a GED, the student has the opportunity to take an Ability to Benefit Test (ATB), and receive Financial Aid, if otherwise eligible.  The ATB measures a candidate's basic verbal and math skills.  Listed below is a some history on the ATB test:

The ATB is a short form basic skills test that measures basic verbal and math skills for adults. Results from the English test and math test can be directly compared to the skills required for entry-level jobs.  The ATB quickly and accurately measure skills required to succeed in nearly every occupation.

The test last only 45min and can be taken twice within 90days. Please refer to the following website for a list of sample questions:  www.wonderlic.com/pdf/wbst.pdf
